MIVEC = HOT BONNET

When I drive my car normally, everything is fine.. but when I rev it out, (put it in tip, rev it past 7) and the mivec kicks in, everything gets really hot and the bonnet is hot to touch. Even if I've only been driving long enough for it to be warmed up.. and then about a bit, then home.

Any ideas?

Is that normal?

its just the FTO...

in 1994 (and earlier) they managed to squeeze 200hp out of a 2litre V6 ... it means a lot of heat....

the engine runs fine at high temps just make sure you service it and the temp gauge doesn't get to high...

i've done 700km's in 40 degree heat and never see it get warm
