Hi guys,

Does anyone know of any places or distributors in Australia who would have genuine Veilside front bars for the FTO in stock? My car was imported from Japan with one on it, but recently some nice person decided to tear some of it off (see here). So for a replacement I'm looking at a 2 month wait from Japan. So if I could find one in Aus that would be a lot better.

I looked on the web for them and the replacement cost is $1445NZD from Japan and £750 in the UK (not including delivery, taxes, etc) 8O . Lucky insurance is paying...

Unique Auto Sports (UAS) in Sydney stocks veilside kits. Go to www.nismo.com.au.

I think the UAS one are copy, along with Carmate & SRS. I know Autobarn use to able to get genuine Veilside kits, so you might want to give them a go.

Haha if it would, I'd be getting a rear one for my car 8)

Hopefully it won't be my insurance paying for it - it should be the other guy who has to cough up. So I don't really mind how much it costs...

I'm not exactly sure - they're Oz Racing ones, but I don't know the type. They look very similar to the ones that come standard on the Lancer Evo III, but only in 17". They were on the car when I bought it, so someone in Japan put the wheels and the Veilside kit on it.

Is it possible to get the veilside front bar 'series one'? It looks more like one piece.

Well its been decided that I'm going to be getting a locally made copy - not ideal, but the best thing to do if I want to be seeing my car again anytime in the next month

Thanks for the Unreal link - they have a genuine full kit in stock and were offering it at a very reasonably price too ...
