Hi guys, this is going to be pretty long and you will need to click the read more link to see the entire article. This article will outline the committee’s work on becoming a fully incorporated club and the club’s constitution.

We have a lot of plans for 2005 with it looking like its going to be a great year for FTO’s. Later in this article will be news on two multi-state cruises for our members in the eastern states, the state coordinators will shortly be releasing their cruise calendars for 2005 as well. LAST but not least the FTO Club of Australia is planning to have stands at the Victorian and New South Wales Auto Salon battles next year.

FTO Club of Australia Update

A little over 12 months ago we started to move this from being just an informal gathering of people on a website to a fully incorporated and registered club in Australia. We now finally have all the documentation in place and will be submitting the paperwork to the department of fair trading (NSW) in the next few weeks.

Shortly we will be placing for download the final version of the FTO Club of Australia’s constitution. Everyone should read this document as it covers the responsibilities of the committee, and the rights of you as members of the club.

Members in NSW and Victoria will recently have noticed at cruises that we now have forms that must be signed by all car owners and passengers; this is part of some of the changes which will be taking effect over the next couple of months.

South West Rocks 21-23 May, 2005.

With the success of the southern Multi-state cruise this year we’re going to have a cruise north to South West Rocks - about 1 hour south of Coffs Harbour. Robert will be releasing the details of this cruise over the next week or so, with costs and events.

There is an international Go kart track at Raleigh about 30 minutes north and we’re taking expressions of interest to have an event there on the Sunday cost will be around $80.00 per entrant.

Mallacoota 22-24 October, 2005.

We’re going back! The feedback from this years event was fantastic, I believe everyone enjoyed themselves so we’re going back to do it all over again. Like this year next year’s event will be similar to last years with everyone arriving on the Saturday afternoon and departing on the Monday. This event is open to everyone especially those from NSW, Victoria and the ACT. Spots are limited to about 40 cars and we will start taking registrations in the New Year.

Tasmania Cruise / Holiday November, 2005.

Dates are still to be decided this event will be a two week cruise through Tasmania. Full details will come early 2005, spots will be strictly limited to 10 (or less) cars.

Cruise Calendars 2005.

Your state coordinator will shortly be releasing their 2005 calendar of events. If you have an idea for a cruise (or social gathering) that you would like included in next years calendar please email it to your state coordinator with as much information as you can put in it to assist them. Our goal for 2005 is to have at least one cruise a month and possibly a social gathering (night clubs, bowling, pubs, dinner, etc) each month.

AUTOSALON 2005

We have been talking about this for a while and hopefully we’ll get it off the ground this year. We are currently talking to the AutoSalon crew in relation to having a club stand in both NSW and Victoria - other states as well if enough interest is generated. We don’t have much time as the first event is in March, 2005.

Shortly we will be announcing what we are looking for in cars. To achieve this we will also need people who are prepared to pitch in and lend a hand to build a stage and anyone with creative urges are strongly encouraged to help.

The FTO Club of Australia Committee wishes everyone a safe Christmas and a reminds everyone that many states will have double demerit points over Christmas so take it easy. [/b]
