I was wondering if anyone can please recommend me a good machanic in Sydney that have delt with or have a "speciality" with fixing FTO's?
As you might have seen, I posted not long ago about buying one (and I had problems with parents not wanting me to buy one

) ... now they want me to find a "good" mechanic that have fixed FTO's, before I go ahead and buy one... I guess they want to know that someone can actually fix it.
Please recommend me your mechanic? Thanks

Mayan from Maytech automotive
7a Argyle street, arncliffe.
95974111
hes worked on my FTO since i bought it(3 years), no problems whatsover, hes done a major service and fixed the starter motor and just the normal servicing required.
Ps i have been lost getting to his new workshop a couple of times. There are two parts of Argyle street, its the second one closer to the city.

As per comment in other post. Unique Auto Sports, Victoria Ave, Castle Hill (is who I use) - they have also developed some modifications for the FTO's and have worked on heaps.
Also in the same complex is A-Class Electrics, they are good with FTO alternators and stuff (having done a few)
and again in the same complex is Hills Motorsports, personally I haven;t been to them, but I know some of the members go there.
Hope this helps, for its age - the FTO is a great car, I have had no problems with mine and have now owned it for nearly 2 years. Unique have never had any trouble getting parts for it.
Cheers

Ive seen the 350Z there since.. which is what he races now as of what I heard last.

Yep. Peter is Nathan's father.
He used to race an FTO in the GTP Production car cup, until he won the series and race officials told tim to rev limit the FTO to 7000 rpm.
So he sold it and now races a 350Z.

what area are you in????
as you'll notice on these forums, i work very closely with Unique AutoSports in Castle Hill developing products for the FTO... they are very good with them and the mechanics there are probably the most experienced on FTO's you'll find anywhere....

I am near Castle Hill, about 20 min away, not too bad
I've actually been to Unique to see the FTO that is for sale there
Glad to hear you guys are familiar with FTO's. Will definately try and get it serviced there when I get my hands on one!
