FTO AUSTRALIA

Hi Everyone.

The Techometer/revmeter on my 95 GPX has just completly stopped and sits on zero.

I've taken it to my local Auto electrician and the problem is not in the motor or pin in the techometer or the alternator, but the signal coming from the computer itself. They sent to computer down to some people in Brisbane (who my auto electrican will not reveal) and they could not fix it because they didn't have the capacity for the pins or transulation of Japanese language. All i know is the problem has somthing to do with the component on/in the compueter and the Techometer Pin..

Now this is some really brain straining stuff, but i really need some help.
How would i be able to fix the problem, or source a new computer for my FTO?

Its basically you are taking to people who are incompetent and trying to waste your time and money. They dont know sh*t.

I bet you its something simple. Download the workshop manual and try to see where the signal forthe tacho is coming from.

Usually on the nissans they come from a coil or something?
Dont waste time or money. And try posting on the UK forums, Those guys know heaps.

hey nofearzz, if/when you find out, reckon you could let me know? I have the same problem (tacho sitting on 0). I have had a look through the manual and everything looks in order, but I am going to take it to a guy that looks after tachos for the mitsu dealer in town and see what he reckons. Failing that, there may be an MUT-II in at the mitsu dealer that I could get error codes out of and look at it then.

I'll let you know what I find out.
