I am in melbourne with a GR last weekend had a run down hill on Mt. Dan faded mid way down (after going up) with Bendix -.-"

anybody have suggestions for brake pads upgrade (brand/model) and where they know for sure have in stock ?

I prefer Fredo DS2000 or DS2500 (best opinions so far i have read and known from numerous oversea magazines and online info) but apparently i checked with dealer they dont have them for FTO -.-"

I can get EBC green stuff for 148 bux.. but they r too .. plain and not good enough for down hill at high temperature (although my car is very slow.. but down hill.. taking all the weight and hard braking)

Endless... super expansive.. 300 to 400 a pair for front i think.. and dont have in stock

and if anyone recommend Bendix Ultimate.. no.. i would not go that again.. bcoz i am using that.. very noisy.. dusty.. and faded

RB74 is recommended by a few.. but no experience with them.. so dont know.. anybody with some comments and where to buy in melbourne would be appreciated. thanx

I am also in the market for a new set of brakes. I have been looking around at a few different ones and now I am soo confused. Im trying to decide if I should change the rotors as well as the pads, or just change the pads, with a good set.

This might be a dumb question, but if you change the rotors, do u have to change the pads to a new set? In other words, can I just change the rotors and use my existing brake pads?

I have been looking at the DBA Gold rotors. My car is a GR and according to the product catalogue, the MIVEC engine has 16" wheels and the other models have 14" wheels. I am unsure which part numbers will be suitable for my car.

I have no idea on brakes and what is good, so any help will be appreciated.

This is the site I am referring to.

I will never use Bendix Ultimates again. Extremely noisy. Let me know how you go.

i use and recommend Race Brakes pads... they're a little dusty but performance is amazing...

if you have 17" wheels you might want to hang out for our brake upgrade kit ... it will fit GR/GX and all MIVEC cars...
