Hissing noise from right front speaker

I've just removed my cd player while i wait for my new one to arrive. In the meantime, all the bare wiring from the cd player has been taped up.
My amps are still connected to the battery. Everytime my car is on, there is a hissing noise coming from my front right speaker. Gets very annoying... All speakers are connected to my amp.
I have no idea how its making these noises.

sounds like the right rca cable that goes to your amp is touching metal or possible a positive cable

I'll go tape it up then; thanks.
I thought the amp wouldn't turn on without a cd player installed.

hmm your right, stupid me forgot about that, i have no idea what could be cause noise out of the speakers without some sort of amp beeing on. I wonder if it beeing a hissing noise, and on one side if its not your speaker and its like a tyre or something, if its only when your moving it could be something stuck n your tyre

Remove the RCA lead going to your amp and see if that fixes your problem, even though your amp isn't on as such there is still voltage going to it from the main wire, and the rca could be acting as a ground and then some buzz from your speaker as a result.
