Exhaust Harmonics

I wanted to discuss the technical issues or the harmonics of exhausts, like obviously there are various distinct nodes for diffrent engines, like the boxer engine etc...

I recently put on extractors, front pipe, i'm running 2.5" all the way, from extractors through to a SuperCat muffler, without a CAT, Can I have some comments about the sound that my exhaust makes, although the sound doesn't capture it as well, in reality it's more lawn mowerish... or raspy...

I know the sound greatly depends on if various pipes are equal lenghts? so that the harmonics don't interfere... are mine interfering?

No cat?

But as for your question, it does sound very raspy. Definitely not the normal FTO sound. You can tell you have the front pipe done as that really affects the sound. It sounds like a lot smaller engine (standing, at least).

Without looking, is your a GPX or a GR?

Also, have you noticed any improvement from running 2.5"? Am looking at that but don't know what is best.

I think you may have started something here. How about some more people post their engine sounds, both standing and driving? It is interesting to hear how different combinations of exhaust sound.
