yes

They fit fine but it also depends on what front bumper and how low your ride is, ive got a VS front and she sits pretty low so i get some scraping on the inner gaurd

215/45 R17 will fit fine with a unlowered car.

But you may find your car looking abit too high, and sooner or later the lowering bug will catch on

I've got -30 (front) and -15 (back) with 215/45R17 (7" at the front; 8" at the back) with a facelifted front bar, and I experience no rubbing, even at full lock.

You can use this site as a reference http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html, even though it's meant for a Miata/MX5, to get some idea on how the accuracy of the speedo is affected with a changed tyre size as compared to stock.

Not that I can tell as this is the only time I've tried this setup. I didn't really have a choice as the place I bought my rims from only had that combo available with the appropriate offset.

Having said that, I haven't felt any adverse effects from this combination either.

what about visually, do the tyres sit a lit more squat on the larger rims?

To be honest, it's pretty difficult to tell from the naked eye.

In terms of looking squat, it had more to do with the profile where the 45 profiles fill the guards nicer than the 40 profiles I had before.

If you want your car to look really squat, then get some rims with as small as offset you can possible. Then, even with 17 x 7s, the rims will sit outward nicely. On top of that, you can go for a nice big brake conversion...getting really off-track now though....

big brakes are on my list but rather expensive for me at the moment esp as i would have to get the rims first!

hey my fronts are 215/35 18"s..... falken ZX

backs are 235/40 18"s..... Nankang ultra sports 2

bloody struts at front wouldnt allow 235/40 to sit and roll ... its hard to tell the diff in size , rimz stand out and are generally what are looked at unless u point out the size

now with lower profile tyres on front u can really feeel the road but the new shocks have eased that dramatically

I just got some goldies 18"

so my tires are Nankang, 225/40/18" and there is rubbing in the inner guard at full lock

also surprised me to find out that FTO stocks are actually 225/45/16" ie its 16*7.5" wheel.....

hate to bother you guys again but is there a tyre pressure guide? what should i inflate my 215/45 r17's too?

The tyre itself should have a recomend psi on it, mine r at 35 if tht helps

i had 255/45/17's on the back on my FTO once, boy did it look mean from the back.

I bough the wheels second hand, thats why i had fatties on the back.
