No,
But I am very keen to try that redline stuff UAS uses...

Does any one know what they are?
I might see if my mechanic uses these....but I'll need to know what they are though...
What's the grade for this redline stuff?

Thank you,

get the service done properly.

I find doing it myslef isnt good enough in gearboxes!

I do everything else myself, but going to cost, its not really much more expensive to get it done proper.

People dont understand when you get the tranny serviced by a pro, they flush the who tranny, torque convertor everything.

When you do it yourself, a lot of the old oil remains.

Doesnt flushing the gearbox oil, involve using oil flush for the gearbox, that couldnt be very hard.

I was watching Best motoring video(VTEC YO!!!!! club) and the spoon boss said that it is verry important to change your gbox oil every service, he also said not to use engine oil flush as it stuffs around with the clearences..

interesting...

no they hook up a machine to the gearbox and physically flush the tranny with fluid, which removes all oil.

When they flush gearboxes, what special fluid do they use?

ah from what i know a cleaning solvent is used to flush the whole system, then after a while they use the machine to suck it out.

This way 95%+ of the old oil is removed, try getting anywhere near that with the basic drain and top method.

hey guys,

just did gearbox oil change with Castrol syntrax,

it turned out really good, better than i expected... Most clunkiness in 2nd gear and 5th gear has gone, and also smooth shifting...

Price 24.99 for 1lt
i think it is time to check out redline , and compare them both.. :P

I think u also need a wrench which is bigger than 22 and smaller than 1 inch.. i forget the size...
