Like one of these: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MITSUBISHI-F ... 3f15945dac

or these

I'm not convinced the bottom one is for the auto, it doesn't specify but going off the picture doesn't look to have the oil cooler pipes. Think i've just answered my own question actually, get the top one.

EDIT: seller of the bottom worley one is telling me it's for the Auto and Manual and I should see on the pics, can also pick up as it's about an hour away. Just not convinced unless the pics are wrong but I can't see oil connectors on the bottom.

MORE EDIT: ok the seller of the bottom one (Worley) now agrees it's not right so people be careful if you're after one for an auto.
Will probably go with the top one unless someone on here lets me know that it's no good.

Get the bottom one. I have that one and just used an external oil cooler for the transmission.

Funnily enough I'm now a manual and have a Davies Craig oil cooler sitting on the shelf that i used as the transmission cooler.

I paid $140 for it but I'm happy to let it go for $60 + $10 postage.

Was on the car for about 6 months and comes with all hoses and clamps etc.

Cheers Stuart, that's a good price but already got a small oil cooler for the auto box ready to go on his car to use in conjunction with the rad one and gone for the top rad which i've confirmed with the seller is definitely for an auto.

Just be weary. They promised me the exact same thing when i got mine. I emailed the seller, the seller emailed their wholesaler and then the wholesaler got in conract with the factory in china.

All said it was for the auto but when i got it it turned out to be lacking the transmission cooler. Hopefully you don't experience the same.

Yeah I had that with one of the sellers - the worley one, was saying defo for auto but I sent him pics from another one showing the pipes for the oil cooler that aren't on his rad pics and in the end he agreed he'd made a mistake and apologised, I had been very close to ordering.

Anyway the one I have ordered has arrived in Melbourne and is out with courier so should be with me soon, fingers crossed it's ok.
Going to flush the engine out once i've got the old rad out before fitting it, do i just put a hose pipe into the hose that goes to the coolant tower and turn it on?

I do. Fits just fine! Only issue is the oil cooler for the trans. Just got a ford falcon one off gumtree and it does the trick just fine. :)

It's arrived and is the correct one, will be on tomorrow.
Looks pretty good, shame it's not going on my car.

It did i'm sure but then we hit another problem - metal coolant pipe connector on the thermo housing that goes to the throttle body disintegrated and we lost all the coolant.
A lot of the problems with this car have been due to previous owner not running coolant in it just water.
