Brake Light (not globe!)
Hey guys,
Drivers side brake light isn't working. However, checked both the globes and they both work fine until I put the brake pedal down. What would be the likely culprit? I'm thinking earth or some sort of wiring issue?

It's a dual filament bulb, are both tail lights and brake lights working or?

Re: Brake Light (not globe!)
sounds like i had the same issue i had with mine, found out a little while ago for some odd reason that the drivers side ones seals tend to crack easier than the passengers, moisture gets in and makes the globe housings dirty, so try cleaning both the contact points and fingers crossed that fixes it. cleaned mine now they all work oh believe i may have spotted you earlier on sturt road, i was in the blue FTO with the extra spotties in the front grill

I saw you waving Amy!!
Sahin - Both tail lights work when the lights are on, and only the passenger one goes brighter when I put the brake pedal down... The other one remains the same.

Change the bulbs. They're dual filament and the brake light filaments are blown.ObsidianRadio wrote:Mitsi_Girl_Amy wrote:sounds like i had the same issue i had with mine, found out a little while ago for some odd reason that the drivers side ones seals tend to crack easier than the passengers, moisture gets in and makes the globe housings dirty, so try cleaning both the contact points and fingers crossed that fixes it. cleaned mine now they all work oh believe i may have spotted you earlier on sturt road, i was in the blue FTO with the extra spotties in the front grill
