Special Key Lug Nuts.

Hey I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with special key lug nuts? Is there a special way to get them off or is the key my only option??

Are the lug nuts just seized on or am I going to have to go somewhere to get the removed?

Spray WD40 or similar and get a bigger breaker bar.

They just look like allen key hex shape to me.
Get a rattle gun or long breaker bar and a impact allen key socket to suit.
or
Take it to a wheel/tyre shop and get them to crack them for you.

I have the key, it's just that I'm having a hard time getting them off so I'll try out the WD40 and bigger breaker bar.

Put a cross brace one and jack it up on one side

Those are the type I had that rounded on me after the tyre shop used, from what I assume, an impact wrench to put them on.
Ended up having to drill 2 studs out after a steel bar that my mate welded to it twirled when we tried turning it. The welds didn't break, the thick piece of steel wasn't stronger than the nut lol.

i have the same lugs you need a key.
if there seized, use a breaker bar and get some industrial lubricating spray or something for seized bolts. you can also try heating it with blow torch, but you will probably damage the rim.
do not use a rattle gun on these with the key, you will round the inside of the lug and then you are screwed.

Shhhhhhhtuart has a beard. Enough manliness as it is, no gym required. That's how beards work.
But yeah just get a cheat bar. I have a massive five foot metal bar I use for stuff like that.
