Anyone got a rough quote on this? the best people to go through? and the amount of time?

I've just gone through the transport thing myself -- Adelaide to Hobart; hopefully arriving tomorrow I'm getting excited a bit now. Unless someone here has any contacts in that area, the best advice I can give you is to shop around as the prices will vary a lot! A lot of quotes you can get online through numerous companies or brokerage sites. I used Car Transport Express as I found it to be the cheapest, but if you have more time to shop around than I did maybe you can find cheaper still. Good Luck.

Drive able? Drive it on a permit?

How does a state to state permit work? Would I have to get both or NSW only? And doesn't it have to have a roadworthy or something? Only problem is getting there haha

Nope, whatever state the car is in get a permit from that address to your address, it's like $80 for one in QLD
It'd be way cheaper just to fly here and drive it back lol 1 and a half tanks fuel maybe 2

Is there any time restrictions? I know you have to take the direct way home and try avoid as many corners as possible as it has no rear sway I'll try sort something out

Meh, I've driven countless cars interstate on permits, and only pulled up once by police because I didn't have plates obviously, oh and you can smash it through every toll possible lol

What's exactly needed to get a QLD permit?

You just go to a suncorp bank and buy 1 days CTP insurance
And then you go to transport and main roads and show them that and buy the permit

I could do it for you and even drive it to you if you wanted lol
