Hey guys as you may know I have recently purchased quite a splendid fto which happened to come with a mivec controller. At this stage I am too scared to fiddle with it hahah and I was just wondering what is the lowest safe rpm I should set it to can I turn mivec off with it and just general cool things I can do with it hahaha and if there are any precautions or things to be weary of while using it

You dont want to set it too low or youll lose power. Mivec normally kicks in at around 5500 RPM. Dont go below 4000 RPM or youll turn into a GR ;) . The FTO engine is designed to rev. Youll probably find the sweet spot is where it is already set, but if not, its likely to be between 5000 RPM and 6000 RPM.

Craig will probably be able to give you more advice than most.

It is in off.. Leave it there..

Only good thing is it gets rid of 180km/hr speed limit for when on Dyno or track.

Aza would adjust mine, but to a point where he found the sweet spot after hours on a dyno. Because the battery went flat, it reset. So I just put it as off.

Pin him down at the bonfire..

And glad you are enjoying your new ride..

Don't touch it. Mitsubishi engineers found perfect setting for mivec. Any higher or lower you'll lose powars.

If your MIVEC stops working, all you need to do is press the accelerator to the floor for about 5 minutes straight or until smoke comes bellowing out of the engine bay. For best results, do it at 2am.

Yea but power love to think they are better than the mechanical engineers that work for the big companies.

They are perform multiple calculations, wind tests, etc etc on parts, we come along chuck it on and she'll be right
