Stuck P Plate Magnet

Best way to remove?
Not my car I promise.
P plate left on black car, magnet melted to car. Bit of WD40/Degreaser and fishing line do it? Trying not to f**k the paint.

Yep been hitting it with a hair dryer, fixed it
Just needs a good wash now.
