Hey guys!

im fairly new to the fto community.. only had mine for about 5-6 months.. it has 17 or 18 inch rims on there at the present time and if i turn a corner hard or drive on un even roads then my tyres rub.. is there anything i can do besides downsizing to smaller rims? not sure how guard rolling works on an fto!!

What size tyres are you running? What offset and rim width? If your guards aren't rolled it will definitely help, is about $200-$400 depending on who you can find to do it. (Or find someone with a roller).

ahh they came with the car.. all i know is theyre 17s or 18s inches.. and about 6-7 width. never actually looked or checked.. but i might need someone to roll them i guess. the rubbing is dreadful!

Ah. Well, the width and offset will be a bit tricky to determine without getting the wheel off the car. But the sidewall of your tyres will tell you their specs, as well as the size of the rim.

From your first post it sounds like you're hitting the fender, as well as the inner wheel well?

17's are the go..
Have a look at the tire and get the numbers off there eg 35/40/17 ... Or tKe a photo and put it up here.

17's may be the go, but just that alone won't avoid issues.

Depends on height as well..

Mine never rubbed (17's)... But since I dropped it with the Tein's she now scrubs on lock..

Cheap way is to remove guard liners..

It would still help to know what size f**king wheels your running

If the 18's and he down sizes to 17... Then yeah that alone could easily avoid the issue lol

First thing to do would be to actually determine where the rubbing is.

I doubt they are rubbing on the outer guards and rolling wouldn't make a difference.

My guess would be they are rubbing on the guard liner.

shouldn't have to roll guards with 17s .. Does the car sit low?

Offset is too high I'd say. Grab some spacers. It's probably chewing out the under guarding plastic crap.

Yeah, that tyre size is optimal.
Only issues would be rooted shocks, or as said prior, offset.

you'd get the tinniest bit of rub in the inner guard liners if your offset is correct, no more.

You'd also get a bit of rub on the upper part of the guard liner when hard cornering if the car has been lowered.
