FTO AUSTRALIA

Hi all,

I just got a safc II and was of the opionion that all this does is alter the current air/fuel ratio on the fto's ecu and does not run off its own fuel map.

I got it as future mods will need me to have this, but was going to install now and was told that basicly if I install it, do the initail setup and dont ajust anything, then the car will run as it always has.

Another person told me that if i install it, the car will run like poo until its tuned as it will be running a apaxi default fuel map.

Anyone want to clear this up for me?

I got it installed but not tuned yet. The power gain u can expect is 5-6kw at the wheels once tuned properly. But my car is running the way it was before so i dont know where that person got their info from.
If yr car is running like 'poo' that it will run like that for the rest of its life!

Thanks, Thats what I thought.

A friends just made a comment to me about it and gave me 1% doubt that I could just install it, set it up and leave it for a bit before I get a dyno to alter the settings.

So yeah, just wanted to clear that up before I install..dont want to install then not be able drive my car until i get it tuned
