Holy vinegar

Testing out the vinegar rust removal technique. And wow the progress so far.
Have had that extractor (last photo) in for 50 minutes only, and about %70 of the rust has gone! And it wasn't just light surface rust either.
To hell with paying for sand blasting.. Can't wait to see finished result.

lol, we do this all the time at work... dont use supermarket vinegar though, its weak as fk

Yeah I had a run in with the firewall and some idiot that used lock tight on the rear manifold bolts :/

Actually the combination of salt and vinegar works a lot quicker apparently

80c a litre, cheapest white vinegar I could find. Bought all that was on the shelf at Coles .. Works excellent

It's been a few hours, figured ill just scrub whatever rust is left, off with some steel wool.
Will be ready for paint in no time.
