Leaking flywheel bolts

Back story:I'm putting in my newly acquired LSD gearbox.
Engine has never had any oil leaks from the engine/gearbox area.
Rear main seal hasn't ever leaked in the past.

Where I'm at: So far I've got the old transmission out. Engine is tilted on 45 degree angle pointed towards the ground.

Possible Problem: When I removed the flywheel, engine oil came free flowing out the lower flywheel bolt holes.

Question: Is this normal, are the flywheel bolts open into the engine, hence the leak?

Yes this is normal, they are open to the engine. When reinstalling you need to use a loctite/sealant on the flywheel bolts otherwise these will leak.

Just get rid of the flywheel, you don't need it.
