Boot struts

FFS it's impossible to find a thread or info just about anywhere for boot struts. I don't want strut bars dammit

Can anyone tell me what struts will fit the FTO and if I can get heavy duty ones? The standard ones don't hold my boot lid up because the wing makes it too heavy and I'm sick of propping it up every single time I want to access the frigging boot.

I have heard those ones are really cheap and unpopular.

Meanwhile, Vectose has used some for his bonnet. Cant remember the brand off the top of my head.. they're yellow. Although you may have to alter the mount points if theyre not the same length as stock.

My dad bought a set for his magna wagon from supercheap.
Take one off and take it in to compare lenghts.
or
Contact Mitsubishi Aust and make some enquiries.
or
Take one off and take a trip to your local wreckers and try to match them up.
or
We had a specialist (Strutman) come into work to install struts and he could add/remove gas to get the correct pressure to hold different weights.

Ok, good news ... no problem getting them from Supercheap. Bad news ... I have to give the guy a nm number. Does anyone know the nm for the standard ones? The SCA guy thinks around 400-450 maybe.
I have no idea how to work out how heavy my boot is (f**king heavy is my guesstimate) and then figure out how to convert that to newton metres :(

God, I'm such a girl sometimes

Depending on how cheap you can get them from super cheap you should try this we have one that comes to our work as well that I use he only charges $50 cash for a re-gas
