What could be the culprit of knocking sounds whenever there is vertical travels on the suspension?

No sounds when cornering or flat road, only loud knocks when pot hole, bumps, or even slight ditch'

Droplinks? or could there be others?

Thanks!

Does tie rod end & ball joints, have anything to do with vertical travels?

Yeah, I kind of generalised with just saying 'shocks'.

Meanwhile, Gen Y'd thread.
Install the drop links you have ordered, if that doesnt fix it, then go to the next thing...

Tie rods typically for steering feel rather than vertical noise, but depends how bad they are.
A quick visual inspection of the rubbers will indicate.
If the rubbers look 'ok' then no vertical noise.
That is not to say however they're can't be.

TLDR for the Gen Y.
Replace the drop links you've ordered.

He has coilovers.

The pillow balls could be fucked in them. But i doubt it.

The droplinks will fix.
