Buzzing after installing extractors

After installing my extractors I have got a metallic buzzing noise kind of a raspiness coming from underneath the car at the front. It starts at about 4k RPM and continues all the way to 8k RPM.

I have checked the whole thing for leaks and could not find any. I used a piece of hose and a funnel to try and hear for leaks and went around each flange. Even had a mate rev it up to 5k and still couldn't find any leaks.

Where I found the noise to be most noticeable was at the flex pipe. Could also feel the buzz.

Yup O2 sensor is tight. All bolts are tight. Have driven about 100kms on them now.

shadowarrior was saying that it happens when decelerating. With mine it happens while accelerating and decelerating.

Could it be the internals of the cat vibrating with the increased flow of exhaust gases?

That's what I was thinking. The cat is not stock it is a Catco and has a build date of 2006 on it.

Does the buzzing noise at least drown out the tapping and squeaking?

I remeber bennoz saying something about carbon deposits when someone brought this up ages ago.

Give it some time to get sooty.

It'll be the flex. Heat wrap it if it's giving you the sh*ts. But yes, give it time to soot up first (if they're new.)
