Well, got the new FTO today. Ended up being much nicer than id thought (alternator is shot). Real shame to part it out. Sort of promised though, so I guess it gets stripped.....

Strip it for good.

Others get to refine their FTO back to shape with the parts from this one'
plus, overall FTO market value +$1

Wow, with a little effort and probably parts you already have this could be a nice car on the road :(
Nice find

Alternatively if you decide not to part it out ive got an alternator sitting here on my shelf if you dont. $100 would be a cheap fix to get it back on the road if thats all thats wrong with it?

This is the chassis that is supposed to be replacing his (which is rusted beyond repair). We were going to strip is so he could replace with bits off his car. Looking at it though, would almost be better adding the couple of things it needs and just re-registering it.I doubt the bits off his existing FTO are going to be any better than what is already on the car.

^hell yeah!

Just ask him to port over his old one and get this one rego'ed.

Ohh and do a manual conversion on this one.
or....................., is this one already a manual itself?

Much less hassle as well.
Wouldnt technicalities suggest that it would be this car being re-registered anyway as its the chassis thats registered, not the engine?

How much rust is in the back end of your current car Daniel?

Cant tell if trolling *insert Fry meme here*

The boot sill has rust around it (not that bad)

All around the heater core is rusted (as in R-U-S-T-E-D)

Theres a patch of rust in the engine bay where the bonnet sits when closed.

Theres rust in bits of both passenger (worse) and drivers side (not as bad) around the kick plates.

Roof.

Have been too scared to look under the car  (was none underneath when I got it but it was all hidden)

No, not trolling. And stop gen y'ing the Fry meme.

Under spare wheel, suspension rear arms, behind bumper, back seat floor, 1/4 rear panels... Etc.
Don't care about anything from the b pillar forward, only back.
