So i went to uni today, and when i finished the car decided not to start ==
called NRMA, they said fuel pump died, so ended up getting it towed to Campsie and costed 60bux
They ran out of parts apprently and i need to travel from Telopea to Campsie by public transport ==
So now i need to pay for the fuel pump and also the labour ==, so Im just wondering if it is worth it to get the sparkplugs done also incase it wont start again due to another reason ==
So yeaaaaah, how much do sparkplugs cost and what type and how much would labour cost for fuel pump install and also to do the sparkplugs.
Pics up tomorrow (:

If your going to bother doing sparkplugs, get some iridiums, especially if your doing the rears, costed me 115 odd dollars from bursons (mind you he gave me 15% off for no reason)
Plugs are simple enough to do yourself, just need the tool or a grinded down tube socket, great way to learn a bit more about your car and start on.
Tbh, if your failry competant you COULD do a fuel pump yourself...

So today it costed me around $700 for everything ==
Getting it towed to the machanic - $60
Fuel pump - $175
Fuel filter - $50
Labour to do both Fuel pump and filter - $150
Rear brakes Mitsibitshi original ones or something like that, - $140 (Including labour)
Gearbox oil change - $60
Clutch oil change - $40
Brake oil filled -$20
Comes down to $635, is this relatively cheap or have i been ripped off in any parts? (:

I don't use mechs to work on my FTO so I don't know how much they charge.
You got your FTO back on the road, after having it towed, if I were you I would be happy with the outcome
Some parts might have been cheaper, some dearer, it would all equal out.
You didn't even have to get dirty, got to be happy about that

Some fuel pumps, such as holden ones from holden cost around $800 supply only

The only way to keep your wallet full is to learn to fix your FTO yourself, even then it will probably still empty out.

Pity for timing really as I just remembered I had a spare set that I bought a while ago.
Brake pads that is, from your other thread.

The fronts are slightly used, had them on the old set of rotors, but we barely used the car, think it was 1 trip to Dwaynes 2 years ago and that was it.
So...
Plenty of meat on them, no cracks and they're decent brand. Intima SR1220.
If you want/ need, you can have for now, throw us a bit of cash later if you wish... Up to you.

If I had the time I would, sadly scratching my own ass is a pleasure currently unbeknownst.
Pick them up from me, attend the DIY day and get them installed then. best piece of advice I can offer.
