Depends on the engine. What type of FTO is it?

A mechanic will be able to tell you if your timing belt needs changing. To a trained eye, theres a lot of difference between a old belt and new.

My first non troll response to you:

Gates T987 belt (232 tooth)

Just ask for that. It's an aftermarket belt, a fraction of the cost of a genuine one which we all put on ours cars. Can get it from Repco etc
As far as what the mechanic says, if it's hit 100,000 then change it soon. Granted you can drag it out - depending on the condition of the car; but I personally wouldn't wait too long. Don't have to wait till something's worn out before changing it.

My original belt did 140k and it probably had another 10-20k in it before it would snap. Current belt has 90k on it and there's no sign of wear.

Bursons for the belt.

BSC for the tensioners.
