I've had a problem with my GPX overheating, especially on long drives, it keeps losing coolant. I've had the system pressure tested but it was all good. I've had different advise tried them all out but the issue remains. my mechanic said it could be the head gaskets, he told me to check a few things first before spending the big bucks. Does anybody know what could be causing this issue? Please... any help would be much appreciated.

Check the following:

Top + Bottom radiator hoses. Mainly when the motor is at operating temperature. A split may have formed and will not necessarily show up when cold.
Radiator cap. Make sure it's holding pressure properly, as can leak coolant if not.
Radiator. Ensure no damaged vanes or flutes.
Rear heater hose. Same as radiator hoses.
Heater Core. Will get a puddle of water/coolant in passenger foot well when the heater/air-con is running.
Check the oil and coolant colours. If they're murky or brown, you've got a head gasket that needs replacing.

It has been pressure checked!! Any leaks at any time would show a drop on the pressure meter.

If a engine is hot or cold it doesn't matter as a pressure checker puts a cooling system under the same if not more pressure than when hot.

Same with heater hoses, if it was pressure checked and passed, that means no leaks.

A trained eye would be able to see a leaking cap.

You most likely have a head leak or slight water pump leak.

I had the same problem probably first two weeks I had mine and it was the water pump

If coolant is slowly dripping from the near the timing case, your water pump is about to fail.
