That looks like fun 8) How deep does it get once you're off the actual road part?

I wish I still had the RVR, I'd be going through that non stop.

Yep, home office today.

Lets just say that I wouldnt be trying to cross it in my Triton fraz (I have an R just like yours). Its probably about 1m deep, maybe slightly less on the causeway itself, but the water speed is the issue. Youd be washed off the edge in an instant. Off the causeway its probably 2m deep. And the rain shows no signs of stopping any time soon, so could get really interesting. Have seen pictures from 1991 where it was about 4m deep over the causeway (about 100m across). That picture is etched into my head. Hope nothing like that happens.

I'd still be tempted to give it a shot. Should see some of the river crossings from the Vic High Country:

Fingers crossed it all eases for the bonfire, otherwise will be a rather interesting year.

Impressive, but its at least as deep as the deepest bit in that vid, is flowing faster and the causeway is 2 car widths across and quite smooth (not a lot of traction). One of the neigbours lost a brand new cruiser off it a few years before I moved here trying something like that.

Yeah, but that's a Toyota. They all have problems, Toyota even circled it!

lol the toyota comment.

My Hilux did things most people would never think possible, including swallow a LOT of water from a broken breather pipe we were unaware of.

Surely enough, it kept running after coughing out the water. Air filter canister was completely full of water.

I miss that car.

So Dwayne, you building a new bridge?

Nah, going to teach the car to walk on water.

Do you think if you hit it fast enough it would skip across the surface like a flat stone.....

If yourbgood enough you'll get a decent running start at it, pop a 360, possibly 720, come back out the otherway sideways a fish tail drift the rest of the causeway .....if your any kind of decent driver

 Perhaps try it with one of your almost dead wrecks first to test.

I reckon if you get a big enough run up, you could use the triton to push it along, then slam the brakes on the triton and let the wreck fly off over the water ;)

Dont stress, itll be back down to normal levels by mid next week. My little causeway on the property is over, but only by 3 or 4 inches. Would need to be a metre higher to start encroaching on the creek flat. If anything like this looks like happening for the bonfire, I will be letting people know WELL in advance.
