Hey y'all I just got a '95 GPX, kool ride but came with minor issues. I wanna replace my heater matrix, is it an easy DIY? must I degas it? is it necessary to rip out the dash?
& if I needed to rip the dash out could somebody help with details on how to do it carefully/right so that I don't bodge it up.

any help would be appreciated... Thanx people.

Easier to Degas, most aircon places charge $120 to gas it up again.

If you do that the only thing you have to do is remove the evaporator and yeah you can get it out that way.

Much better than ripping out your dash, losing screws and having possible rattling occuring.

You dont need to degas it. Dash out though. You can sneak the matrix past the aircon condensor. I have a matrix if you need one.

Pretty big job though,
And just remember to plug EVERYTHING back in, or your car just might not start...
