As some of you had already know,I had my FTO converted to manual . Thanks to Bennoz for hooking me up++, lawso for the parts and Pete from Suzutech for the conversion. Oh an the rest of th people here that giv me advise etc :)

For those people who are interested, it took 2 days for pete to finish the job.

Now, few things, the engine mount for manual is th solid ones and i am still using the tip ones. Question now, i have seen polyurethane engine mount, are that overkill for a normal manual FTO?

and I am planning for a dyno run and see how much manual conversion affect the KW atw. The last time i had a dyno run, got a poor 86kw. any good recommendation around western sydney area?

The only problem here is you'll probably get a different figure regardless, especially if you use a different dyno.

100% agree ^^^^^
you need to run it on the same dyno you used before, but even then it will differ as there are a number of factors that come into play.

Congratulation on the success Akys!

Standard mounts on the FTO does feel like jelly under heavy loads. I'm definitely switching to poly's when that wear out.

Polys are overkill mate, just grab the solid cores from Meek. I've got a an 'exchange' set here you can use.

That heater core of yours is a c**t of a job mate & will take a day, a day I dont have till about April. Which will probably work out well, because I need to drain the AC gas to remove the parts I need to get at it.

My mounts are harder than the standard ones, but not as hard as polys.

Vibration is more noticeable and would not wan't to go any harder. It's most noticeable when the thermos kick in at idle.

My bad

I keep an exchange set here. You buy the cores, I press them into my set. I swap them out, I keep your old mounts.

Closest side mounts I've found is by mackay. It's a perfect fit and the design of the mount is exact but a tad too soft. What you using?

There is no insert I know of for the side mounts. The mackay ones are $50.00 for tad too soft.
