When switching over to tip, is it ok to do while moving? Ive never done it and have always completely stopped the car when I switch it over, was just curious if its okay to do and wondered if it would cause wear and tear

It'll be fine. It will just "start" from the current gear the car is in.

Yup do it all the time in our Pegueot, also a Porsche Geat box like the FTO.
It's perfectly fine to do so while driving 8)

Yep! Cruising on highway, switch to tip, downshift 2 gears, and gun it! :cheeky:

Downshift makes the car kick backwards, im wanting to go forward as fast as possible!
