Was having issues with my car overheating and I couldn't figure out what the issue was until coolant started pissing out all over the passenger side floor... cbf replacing the heater core so I just looped the two heater hoses where they run into the firewall with a pipe and some clamps...

yep thats what im doing as we speak, its normally the plastic pipes that break as they become brittle over time.
A guy in the UK called demisterman has a good fix as he has made brass replacement pipes, i have them here as we speak and they fit right up, just havent had the time to do it yet.

You can find the pipes here.

There pretty good quality and only took a week to get to mine.

Do you have to pull the dash out to get at it? It's one job I've not done...

If hes got no air con gas i can just easily remove the evaporator to get to it just slides out.

However if he has air con gas, yes. Dash out job.

If he just degasses it would be easier and im pretty sure its $120, if he wants to drive up to my dad's he does licensed air con at home and can regas it for $85, just its in toowoomba about an hour away.

LOL its a Sydney based car that I gotta do it on. I get A/C regasses for nothing, my mechanic owes me a fortune in web hosting fees

Cheers for the offer though ;)

Nah i meant buzz_qwerty he's in brisbane. But yeah so much easier with the evaporator out ive done it twice that way now lol, its still a tight space, but id much rather that than taking a dash out, cos it never goes back the way u want it to and rattles will probably result eww lol
