So, boxing day night a stupid blonde reversed her car into mine on my private driveway.....

The FTO now has a scratched headlight and cracks on the front bar along with tons of scratches around the front bar and side panel (on the front passenger side).

Do you guys have any recommended crash repairer around GC/Brisbane? I would want the person to properly fix it since the blonde's insurance is going to pay for it.

Cheers.

That's no good at all. At least you know who did it. Someone hit my car 2 days ago whilst it was parked in my gym's car park. Left me with nasty scratches on my rear bumper and also collected my rim. (polished dish is no longer a polished dish -.-)

f**k i hate c**nts..

lol i have a right hand side headlight for sale if u need one and ask the panel beater to charge it to the whole repair. Trust u me the repairer may have a hard time looking for parts. On a brighter note...u get a new bumper. Have a look at the thread I started...its called 'new bumper with a good polish' :) Oh and get the chick's insurance to pay for that as well...

If its under insurance then just go anywhere that has good reviews (google), and while they are at it, make sure you get a new headlight & front bumper (if you want an aftermarket bar, this is your chance as it will be cheaper then genuine).

Yeah I hate dumb f**ks who can't drive yet gear along with a big ass car on the road. She wasn't even carrying her license with her, and we had to call the cops to get her name and insurance details. :| What annoys me is, me being a learner, have always been extra careful with the car. No scratch, nothing. But it gets crashed while sitting on my own driveway. She was about to drive off after hitting but I stormed out of my house yelling.... :|

@Kustom, I couldn't get any reviews listed for the repairers around GC. So thought maybe someone has got their's fixed near Brissy/GC and I could take my car to them.

One guy I took it to said he will repair the cracks on the front bar (its the original post face lift kit so plastic, not fiberglass). Will paint the full front bar and touch up the side panel. Will polish the scratches off the headlight and apply the clear coat back again. Thing is, he keeps telling me the previous paint work on the bumper wasn't A class so he is not going to warranty if the paint will hold.

IMO, its his responsibility to prepare the surface for the paint, and if needed, should get the old paint off before putting a new coat in. The paint wasn't peeling off before the accident, so it should not after the fix, and he should warrant that.

I already feel the front bar is quite low (just makes through the driveways here), so don't really want to go for an aftermarket one where it is even lower :| Also the repairer mentioned the insurance won't cover for a new bar.

The scratches on the headlight is on that outer glass/plastic shell. But the repairer said it can be polished out so doesn't need a new replacement either.

Look if her insurance is covering call your insurance up for a list of approved panel beaters that is recognised by your insurance that is around your area. Do not go to others except stated above because they are the one who will guarantee the work done. If u go to some other places without checking up her insurance co. can refuse the payment of the job.

well I have lodged the claim through Shannons (my insurance) and given them her full details. Shannons has asked me to get a quote from my preferred repairer and send them the quote.
