Rebuild question

Hey guys in the process of rebuilding my engine ATM just want to know if I need to replace the Conrod bolt or will the original ones be fine but the engine has done roughly 200000 Kms

I think you have to check for stretch but it is generally a good idea to change from what I remember

Replace to avoid costly backwards, especially on high reving engines.

ok so i think i will be replacing them does anyone know where i can get new ones

There are 2 areas you need concern yourself with here.

Firstly, to check for strech in the conrod stud, see section G. in the below pic.

Secondly, there is also the main bearing caps on the crank. They are held in by bolts & have a stretch limit. See B. in the bleow pic.

Thirdly, all this information is in the engine manual. I wouldn't even attempt a rebuild without it ;)
