That's the one lap run of the track i will be going to somewhere in the next week or two!

Finally get to kill off these tyres and chuck on the potenzas

I've got fresh pads - bedded in
Fresh engine oil
Dot 5 brake fluid
Radiator was flushed about 7,000kms ago?
Going to flush auto trans on Monday or Tuesday
Will the same K&N Filter be fine for the Tranny as i read its the same as the oil filter?

That's all thats required yes? Oh and hopefully ill have someone filming me from inside and out :)

Fun times ahead!

Ah so that's what a lap of Baskerville looks like! Looks like fun :)

Make sure you get a decent in car camera setup so you can post up some vids!

And a quick note, I hope you meant DOT 5.1 not DOT 5. DOT 5 is silicone based, you do not want to be using this, it's designed for military and heavy vehicle usage, completely unsuitable for performance road car usage, plus being silicone vs glycol based it can introduce all sorts of problems to your brake system, not too mention not compatible to mix, so you need to completely clean and flush the entire brake system with metho when changing from one to the other.

:? Keep your eye on your temp when on the track with the coolers in front of the radiator like that.

^^ yeah good point, personally I wouldn't have put the tranny cooler up front, just the engine oil cooler but centered it so it still allows plenty of clean air to the rad, then put the tranny cooler down low in the engine bay or wheel bay where you can direct air to it.

I'm going to take off my rego plates to allow more air through...

Plus im going to have the laptop connected up and keeping an eye on the temps!

Raising the bonnet gap 'LFA style' is a effcient way of channeling air to the wheel arch area in the engine bay.
Impressed how you lean the car toward the apex 8)

Just mount them sideways and have the oil fed into it from the bottom that's what I did. Also a cooler that is thicker is actually better than one that has bigger surface area.

Well well! That was incredible!
Tyres are now officially butchered with several chunks missing :/

Came out here solo so could only set up the camera on a tripod and catch the first few corners! Eh well. The FTO handled incredibly! Only spun out once then the second time was able to control it and drift the corner! Hahaha soooo much fun.

Best time was a 1:10 which is considered quite fast here, that's with bald tyres and a full tank of fuel.... Quite impressive!

I highly recommend people to track their cars you really can push them to the limit in a safe environment. It's a massive learning curve.
