This has probably been covered before I imagine, but I'm not particularly keen on wading through 4000+ posts to find it.

Opinions on importing? (Realising all FTOs are imports) has anyone done this, is it worthwhile for the extra cost?

You really are better searching for this.. And make up your own mind by weighing up pro's and con's...

bout 10 grand plus to get an ok FTO...thats just the auction price. Don't forget u need to get compliance, shipping costs, import duty, agent commission, rego blah blah blah. All up I'd say 16-18k to bring one over. With that cash i can buy off Ftosam's turbo...nicely done up for u with cash to spare. Save the trouble and and get one here.

Use the search function on the top bar in the middle.

Short answer - Don't bother importing one, it'll cost you double what you'd pay for a car here. Even though you may be able to get much lower kms importing, not worth price / effort, especially if you don't have experience or knowledge about importing.

Just wait for one for lower Kms.

If you can import a Galant over for a tad over 10k i can't see why he couldn't do the same for an FTO

There were a heap of cheap FTO's on Yahoo auction...

Bang for buck, the quality you will get from there will outweigh what is in Aus $ for $ ... Look at the 2 we found Lawso ..

Suzuki swift ftw!!!!!!!!

Taking my time with my next purchase. Have a few important things to do first, like, move out of my sh*t hole and get a fkn solid job.

It will be a little while till I sit in an fto again, bit not too long
