Our MP's get themselves into this sort of sh*t all the time, the difference & media spotlight is on this one because if he goes, the government crumbles. They have a 1 seat minority government and if any of their members fall on their swords, this douche included, there'll be a bi-election for that seat. Considering how hated the Gillard government is, and how close the margin on douchebags seat was during the last election, Gillard will lose the seat & the majority.
I for one hope thats exactly how it pans out ^

We can only hope...
Wasn't there one other guy that was going to declare himself bankrupt as well ... Due to gambling, and money he owned...
It then looked like he was taking Govt funds to pay his debts, so he wouldn't declare bankruptcy .. And Ranga PM was trying to say that if a Poli goes bankrupt it should no longer mean they have to step down ...
