Brake piston question

Just a quick question guys.
Am i turning the rear brake piston clock wise or anti clock in order for it to retract back in?
It seems to be jammed

I don't think you twist the piston to get it back in. You need to get a clamp and push it back in straight or you'll a) damage the piston and b) possibly push the seals out of position.
If you damage the piston you'll need a new caliper so be careful.

Okay got it sorted. It seemed to have over extended itself thus why it was jammed. This has most likely be stretched out for quite some time as my rear left pad is completely bear whereas the right bad still has half of its meat left.
I believe this problem has occured (could be completely wrong) due to the following thing ( i have no idea what you would call it) missing from my brake line. My logic behind this is that this thingy thing stops the brake line from moving and over extending itself when the brakes are applied? lol.
Does anyone know what I'd call it as I now need to locate one

Might be a case of your caliper being worn out so to speak, and needs reconditioning - when i first got my fto my rear right brakes need conditioning and took rick n joes a good 30min to get the brakes replaced - as i didnt have the tools or the patience to do it myself, and i had done a little research and found while it is pretty rare, there have been other cases that the brakes had to be reconditioned past the 120k mark. Just letting you know what your possibly up against as you might fix it now, but you may find next brake pad time you will find the same thing happens. Your looking around no more than 200 to get it reconditioned

That's the spring clip that holds the hand brake cable in place.

If you've got one pad worn more than the other chances are one of the sliders is stuck and the caliper isn't moving as it should. Common on FTO's.
When you replace the pads make sure the little protrusion on the back of the pad fits into the V shaped groove in the piston.
Other wise it pushed the pad off center and you get the pad wearing either from the leading or the trailing edge rather than evenly.
