Help! I brought those stupid white dials of eBay and Im regretting it.

Not only are they crap quality but my needles are out. Speedo by 5km, peter by 1/4 of a tank... Not to bad I can get those right but the revs have completely stopped. Any ideas? I tried to be so careful removing them and recording the postions etc but no luck. GAH!

after reading post I see what you mean now.

You have to put revs and speedo needles in with them facing the 6 o'clock position if you want them to b accurate, but still dont see why you fully removed them in first place?

Sorry guys, did my usual about to go out the door so didnt explain it as well as I could have.

They are full replacements. I removed the stock ones and put the new set in so the needles had to be taken off to get them on. Now with a bit of fiddling the speedo, petrol & temp gauges are fine and reading well but the rev counter isnt going at all. Is it most likely I have screwed that one up and does anyone have tips for working that one out? I did put them in the 6 oclock position to start with and all but its just stopped working.

Try pulling the tacho needle out a bit.

i had this problem with my previous car, funnily enough all i did was drive at 100kph (as recorded on the gps, and without the needle on) and then push the needle on, and rpm, just found out what idle speed was anddo the same, fuel just fill it up completely and push the needle on full. you will get it very accuratly with a steady hand (its hard while going 100, get a mate to take the wheel). but my speedo was 3kph off due to wheel size, and i got it within half a K right up to 150kph. but its just a matter of putting the needles on when you know where the needles should be (full tank, idle rpm, 60-80-100kph, and coolant wherever it should be when warmed up)
