Good question mate. I've checked ASA but it doesn't drill down enough into the TB to find the details of those.

I'd call Meek, a lot of the OZVR4 Legnum guys replace those (throttle body is the same as FTO) because they can cause boost leaks.

Mine definitely is leaking from the back seal. The seals are u shaped so I temporarily placed a small o'ring under the seal and it seems to have sealed it. Noticed better driveability from it. I have a photo of it on a ruler so I know the dimensions of it. Meek are the only place that sell them so I may ask for the dimensions.

Can't find crap on the seals! Theres no listing anywhere on it.

Only thing I found out is the seal it a generic high pressure shaft seal, and supposedly can be purchased at a lot of places.

My quick measuring had them at 14mm OD 10mm ID, did not measure the depth of them. It's a really common issue on Mitsubishi's so I am unsure no one really has brought it up before.

Its been brought up before on OZVR4, but i couldn't find it, so I've asked them.

So I measured them today and it's 14x10x2!! Typical non of the evo ones fit on meek!!

Yep I was about to get some from there. You want a rotary shaft seal but on the weekend I did not have time. You don't want a wiper seal as it does not hold pressure.

My seals fail at 1-2 PSI!!

Even the meek ones you will be able to cut it to size.

That looks like a single lip seal. But if you can, get a double lip, the extra lip will prevent dust from getting in.

Brand new seals exactly the same as the originals.

Seals in and they work a treat!! engine is even smoother now!

Did another leak test and I have another leak under the inlet manifold!! think it's coming from the an injector seal!!

Well it was just a few rear rocker cover bolt seals.

Car is running so much better I am shocked as I don't think it's ever run this good from all the years I had it. Power levels are definitely up and you know I am always a sceptic when it comes to power increases!!

Guessing a lot of others would have slight vac leaks causing engine shudder etc..

I was getting a bad idle, rpm dependent shudder and general low power across the rev range.

I had vac leaks at the tb shaft, isc, front rocker cover and rear rocker cover. All fixed and holds pressure to 15psi.

I would say the tb shaft seal fix did the most as it eliminated load vibrations which I was trying to pin point!! Don't know why but shift from third to first when stopping is way better and shift performance is way better!!

Cost sh*t all to fix the leaks just time consuming.

Best fix ever IMO!! Dunno why but low end power levels seems better, smoother through the rev range especially when under load and the best bit is the shift into first when coming top a stop is almost non existent, use to feel it heaps!!

Not bad for 10 bucks.
