hey guys the other day my air con was playing up. wasnt sure if it was due to the intense heat, but when i turned the air con on it was blowing hot air. i thought it was because i just turned on the car, but it continued throughout the day. then i was driving around then all of a sudden i heard a loud squeaking sound then it would blow back warm air. this occurred quite a few times throughout the day.
my friend said its the compressor or something, but it was another language to me.
btw i just got the air con re-gassed.

ok, but now! the air con will only work and get cold if it was on low and not high, once i put it in high gg, in comes the hot air.
does this mean i have to drive with the air con on low from now on??

help please, dont want to drive in the heat anymore !

Sounds like you've either got a slipping belt or a shot compressor clutch..

Bennoz how much for a new compressor? and does the compressor come with a brand new clutch?

Loud squeaking sound just like a screeching tyre on concrete ground, that would be the time to change your aircon belt mate. Happened to me the other time and changed the belt all was good. But i didnt get hot air coming out after that though. It would only screech if I turn the heater on
