It's going to cost me $250 including delivery if i buy it off ebay and me and my dad can fit it ourselves i presume is there a cheaper way to get it under 90 decibels? Or does anyone know where i can get a cheaper stock exhaust? As i am passing the test then straight away getting an adjustable muffler and decking the exhaust pipes with a deeper rather sound.

I know some people who've installed silencers to pass the pits.

I'm assuming you have a catback exhaust.

Just get a new one that's quiet and get them to put a flange on your old one and new one if it doesn't already have one so when you clear the defect you cannjust connect the old one urself and vice versa. Depending where you go it could cost you $200 installed...

Speaking of chicken wire, I've heard of someone who did actually use chicken wire to a foam piece secure - For an improvised pod filter!
Just how far can you go with stingyness ?!

Just get a stock muffler tacked on. The douche-cannons are what causes the db problem, not the entire exhaust system.

you can borrow mine if you come pick it up.
I have the whole stock system from the headers back sitting in my garage.
Flex pipe + mid pipe + back box into the outlets
