Hey guys,

Does anyone use a vpn as protection when downloading? If so a free one? Which one?

I haven't tried it myself, but I hear good things about it.

I didnt think peerblock was a VPN. I read somewhere that a vpn is safer than peerblock and was the only true way of protecting you.

EDIT: No peerblock, just blocks known bad computers were a vpn is a tunnel and everything you look at and download goes through the vpn.

Hotspot shield by anchorfree? It's north America server though so downloads are slower but on the upside you get a north american ip

Yeah thanks Kuran, I have downloaded the software but are getting reports it doesnt work with hulu, which would be nice

I am not talking about protection from downloading over wifi. It has nothing to do with wireless what so ever.

VPN? Huh? For VPN you need a VPN client or server on the other end. Example I VPN in my work, am authenticated by works VPN server, then connected. There is no 'VPN' for the internet

If you're downloading bulk porn, just use hide my ass or something. Seriously, what could you be downloading thats so sensitive? Are you an Iranian nuclear scientist? That wakeboards?
