It's summer, and my car's a little neglected. Hoping to have her shiney and looking good again in a few weeks time, but thought I'd share what i've been working on instead:

1954 Remington Wingmaster 12bore.

Picked her up looking rather abused, wrapped in a bathroom towel:


Ok, this rust is worse than I thought:


A soak in some malt vinegar, and a scrub with a wire brush:


And we're ready for some fun with acid:


After 5 Acid/Boil cycles:


After baking on a linseed oil finish, new stock, shortening the barrel down a bit, and a fancy glow-in-the-dark bead:

Looks nice but still no excuse

I thought bout getting into rifle shooting but to costly spent it on my car insted

Niiiiice. My old man just had a single shot lever one done. Can't remember the brand, but its pre Jap WWII.

We've also got a bunch of 12 gaugers, 1 thats cut to within mm's of the legal limit over here. Fire it & it'll hit everything around you bar the item directly in front of you
