Pretty sure it is legal your best bet would be to double check with the RTA or even the police and when you do find out let us know lol

cause i have been interested in them myself haha

if you're going to do it id go vinyl its easy to peel of intentionally but wont come off on its own.
Plus if you get a good cop he won't give you a defect for taking it off in front of him.
It looks good, so why not?

as long as the reflector still works, i guess it shouldn't be a problem.
so, does the reflector still shines when lights pointed on it?

Yeah. The brake lights still reflect light.
Obviously not as much as without the tint but it does still reflect enough IMO.

depends on the person as it is ilegal to tint them some may not pass it due to they would be passing a car that is ilegal to be on the road
some wont care as long as your lights are bright enough

i wouldnt risk it =] if you get a good cop then might have a chance but if not ....
your gonna have it on for your everyday driving if you do decide to tint em. but cops love to pull these things over
dont know about other states but QLD for sure lol
or do something like ME!
