Serious question.

hey guys i'm in need of some desperate opinions.
When the engine in my car goes, It's done 125,000 km's.

Would putting a twin turbo engine in it and converting to manual be worthwhile? As im looking at decking out this car with red leather interior.
Custom sound moulded to the boot of the fto with spare wheel taken out to accomodate two amps and 2 subs in each space at the side of the boot aswell as 2 subs moulded in the boot behind the backseat.

So if i do all this i want to know if putting in a new twin turbo engine and manual transmission would be worth it and how much would i be looking at to accomplosh those 2 things..

What else would i have to change and what else would get old etc etc.

thanks everyone :D

Not trying to be funny but if you want to do that have 20-30K in the bank.
Have a look at Bennoz turbo thread for info.

no i like the fto, what i mean is when that engine stuffs what is involved cost and labour in putting another engine in it? It's a gpx mivec and also while i did it i would want to manual convert it.

I cant find anywhere on forums which describes it.

Would it be worth doing or buying a new fto with less km's and already manual?

You could do a engine swap for any thing from 3-10K, it just comes down to if you can do some of the work.
That could be a turbo engine or NA, but it would have no mods at all.

I'm just wondering, you said your engine only has 125000 on it?
Why are you worrying about swapping it? Mine has almost 160000 and its still going strong :)

Treat it right, you'll get 300,00kms out of it.

We got one member in VIC who's up to 240,000kms :)

First thing fix up your defects and sell it and buy a GR manual with low kms. With the way these cars are depreciating at the moment you could probably get a low km one for around 8k or less.If you want to turbo it and do all the stereo and interior mods to it you mentioned then add 10-15k and be done with it.If i were you i would probably just buy a supra

:facepalm2: you said you wanted to turbo your fto and a gr is easier to turbo than gpx.But seriously dude just fix up the defects and keep it 125k is f"ck all for an fto and after a couple of years just sell it and buy another one.

yeh but grs are easier to turbo.

cheapest thing would just be an engine replacement when yours dies in the long term future.
turboing it will be a lot of $$$
