Hi I was hopeing someone might be able to help me I am after a part number for the head studs / bolts which bolt the cylinder head to the engine.
Their are eight of them and I have been told to replace the old ones with new ones due to the old ones stretching?
Ive searched the forum, camskill, and google and not had any luck sofar :(
Their for a V6 Mivec if it makes a difference.
Thanks

Everyone reckons you need to replace them everytime, I thinks its rubbish.

Measure them up, they only need replacing if they've stretched & the shank length exceeds 96.4mm

Ok thanks for that ben, mine are reading 91mm :?
When you say shank length is that measuring them without the head of the bolt?
But then again I have a pretty old set of vernier's, im picking my cylinder head up tomorrow so ill get the guys to measure them for me whle in thier.
Thanks

You gotta add the under section of the head of the bolt too.

Here's an excert from the engine manual which shows it more clearly ;)
