Guys,

need suggestions, my beloved GPX 95 car is now a write off, from an accident where not my fault got sandwiched by someone hitting me from the rear.

Insurance has agreed its a write off, but no settlement price yet.

the rear is totally smashed and bent inwards. The front is smashed but i believe the engine is in good shape, auto gear box all good condition, only <130,000km.

i m in sydney, any suggestion of wreck yard and also anyone wants to get it and take away, name your price?? i dont have time to sell the parts on its own.

If its a write off the insurance company will own it and im sure its worth more for insurance money then it is as a wreck

I spoke to the insurance already, they will provide me with the market value price. I will still have the right to the car.

I will try to post some pics early next week. though not sure how to do it yet.

the car is with a smash repairer property at the moment at Campsie region.

How the hell can you get a insurance pay out and keep your car my corola was writen off and nrma owned my car

well guys, i got the value of the write for >$11k and value the savage value at $500, so i get to keep the car...

anyhow i going to get rid of through some contacts wrecks maybe.

Do you have any pics? Might be interested in some of the bits if you decide to part it out. You will make a lot more out of it by parting it out then selling the whole thing. And if you've got the time it can be fun stripping her back. You learn a lot about how they go together

i agree with you i will get more out of it....but i dont have the time or the space to do all that. The engine parts and other accessories worth hell more, than what i going to get paid from the wreckers...

i m insured with Just Car third party, but NRMA is paying me for the write off.

i have the front struct brace and a brand new sunroof if anyone wants it.

guys, i m stoked with the payout from the insurance...$11k, i wouldnt have time to sell the parts individual, so to the wreckers $400, i know i couldve got like twice as much or 3x especially the engine is in good condition...but i in a hurry...
