That was a stunt to detract attention away when the proper stig was almost outed.

The time when Michael did a lap was in the FXX, being that it was HIS car, and only he could drive it.
So he agreed to dress as the Stig, pose as him, and the heat kind of subsided.... for a while.

I should have put money on it being Ben Collins!! There was a rumour going round about 2-3 weeks ago! I reckon an ex formula 1 driver will be next for The Stig job!
