Droplinks - Squeaks, Knocks and Thumps

Hi All,

After driving my FTO from Brisbane to Hobart with a few hundred kilo's worth of gear in the back the standard 9 year old suspension has developed a bit of extra noise. Especially round left hand bends???

As I don't know much about suspension components I was just going to use a scatter-gun approach and replace most of the suspension components at the same time. This will also get it ready for the odd track day.......

My question is..................is there anywhere in OZ that sells replacement droplinks? as oppose to ordering them from the UK? are these the same as uprated swaybar mounts?

I have had a look at the workshop manuals but can't seem to make heads nor tails of the front and rear suspension in exploded view.

Cheers

I too have the same problem, but is very hesitant to buy things from overseas (UK) as they only acept credit cards, it would be great if there is someone in OZ that supply these suspension products. When I had my suspension changed I wanted to change to polyurethane bushes but all springs could not find bushes that will fit.

Personally I was looking for aftermarket items shortened to be better suited to a lowered ride hide.

I have noticed that www.whiteline.com.au make heavy duty swaybar links for the WRX, wonder if they have plans for anything similar for the FTO?

Otherwise the OS items are actually not too bad in comparison when it comes to cost.

Brezza,
You left Brisvagas too early.
Fulcrum at Moorooka have just fitted a Whiteline Heavy duty adjustable swaybar to my FTO. They have also replace all my bushes, and new lowered springs. I am waiting presently for a new droplink ( damaged in crash) this will take 3 weeks to be shipped from Mits in Japan.
If you have no luck, I suggest ringing Warick at Fulcrum, he might be able to suggest someone in Tassie, and even liase with them on part numbers.

Hey Jeff,

Don't happen to have the part numbers for all of your new suspension gear do you? more specifically the poly bushes?

Hehehehehe, one of my mates done here in Tassie has a business that is a distributor for Whiteline gear. :-)

Cheers
